On Tuesday, Sept. 17, businessman Tom Golisano gifted Canisius University $5 million as a part of a $360 million philanthropic project supporting nonprofit organizations all over Upstate New York.
The National Science Foundation recently awarded a $350,000 grant to Canisius as part of an initiative that aims to strengthen connections with higher education and STEM programs. This grant will hopefully combat the shortage of STEM professionals. This is part of the “Connect Four” project in partnership with Roanoke College, Northwest Arkansas Community College and Albion College.
