Sophomore Meg Hiltz started the scoring in the second half to give Canisius a two goal lead. Robert Morris scored to cut the lead to one, but senior Maddie Mazur and junior Hailey Rooney gave Canisius a three goal lead going into the fourth quarter. Davis and sophomore Maggie Tifft both scored to extend the lead to five goals and help ice the victory early into the fourth quarter. Robert Morris went on to score four straight goals, but they were unable to finish the comeback, with the Golden Griffins earning the 8-7 win.

The Griffs had seven different goal scorers in the contest, while sophomore Jody Chu had two saves and four ground balls.
