Do you find yourself purchasing the same candle scents from Bath & Body Works and Yankee Candle? Lucky for you, a new opportunity to create your own candle has arrived! NY Candle Cafe is located at 2317 Main Street. In addition to candles, you can also shop home décor, baked goods, room sprays and clothes.
Suheiri Rodriguez is the owner of NY Candle Cafe but also has a home decor and bath line called Pulse Point LLC. She is your instructor for all the DIY classes and workshops, including plant potting, soap making, herbal tea classes, paint and sips and more. She also hosts 10 other local, women-owned small businesses in the shop. At the end of the day, Rodriguez ensures that you go home with a product you are proud of and great memories.
On Monday, I went with my aunts to the NY Candle Cafe for the first time to celebrate a birthday. Immediately, I could not believe the ambiance. There was a sleek, marble counter in the center of the room with soothing music and a fireplace projected in the background. The room was filled with a variety of scents and decorations that complimented the green and pink color scheme. Once I sat down at the bartop, I got to choose the jar, scent and favors from start to finish. I chose from four different jars and 12 signature scents. My candle scent is Pumpkin Crunch Cake and is housed in a small, lilac container. It smells absolutely incredible and is a great addition to my candle collection. I will not be burning the candle in my dorm, of course, but it makes a lovely paper weight.
NY Candle Cafe is open all seven days of the week. Hours of operation are 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. You can come in during hours of operation without a reservation to make your very own custom candle and shop their retail sector. If you would like to make a reservation for a group, like we did, it definitely helps to register ahead of time. This can be done through NY Candle Cafe’s Facebook or Instagram pages.
Walking into NY Candle Cafe, customers are created with a friendly atmosphere. People are welcome to come in and utilize the cafe environment with free wifi. This conveniently located cafe is perfect for any date night, girls’ night or an alternative fun night for friends and family!
