The United Student Association (USA) is still looking for liaisons for this semester; interested students can apply through their Instagram
USA will have their first senate meeting of the semester on Friday Sept. 12th at 2:30 p.m. in Grupp fireside lounge above the dining hall.
Fusion Gaming will hold its first general body meeting of the semester at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 12 underneath Palisano.
Model UN is throwing a kick-off meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 5:30 p.m. in Science Hall 1007.
Little Theatre is hosting their first Watch Party of the semester featuring the past production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream on Tuesday, September 16th at 6 p.m. in Old Main 423.
There continues to be a shortage of Ozzi boxes, leaving students who have late-night classes or other responsibilities in a bind.
Far-Right political activist Charlie Kirk was fatally shot on the campus of Utah Valley University on Sept. 10. Kirk was speaking at that campus as part of his American Comeback Tour and was in the middle of debating an audience member.
On Sept. 10, there was also a shooting at Evergreen High School in Denver. Around 12:30 p.m. a shooter injured two students and then took his own life. [This shooting occurred about ten minutes after the shooting at Utah Valley University.]
Also on Sept. 10, Apple announced their new Apple iPhone 17. In the same announcement they announced the iPhone 17 Air, which led discourse online regarding the “bendgate” issues of the iPhone 6. The iPhone 6 was their previous attempt at a thinner iPhone.
Phi Alpha Delta, the pre-law organization, is holding a “learning law admissions” event on Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 4 p.m. in Science Hall 1013. The event features Benjamin Rogers, associate director of admissions for the University at Buffalo School of Law.
