With the last two weeks of the semester looming above us and the milestone of less than a month until commencement, the energy on campus has been a little slow, but here’s how you can finish strong going into summer!

  1. Stay up to date with assignments! Procrastination is a habit everyone (even me) is guilty of as the semester comes to a close. Make sure to stay on top of everything so you can go into Griff Fest in a good place!

  2. Spend time in the sun! Winter has finally started to come to a close here in Buffalo, so take advantage of the sun we’ve been missing all semester! We’ve all been missing some much needed vitamin C and the quad is a great place to soak it all in.

  3. Stay hydrated! It’s important to make sure you’re not only drinking water but also eating during the next couple of weeks and into finals week! Attend midnight breakfast on Sunday before finals start and maybe make a stop at Tim's before going to the library!

  4. Go to office hours! Your professors hold them for a reason. Take advantage of them and get feedback for studying and how you can finish out the semester on the right note!

  5. Spend time with your friends! Soon it’ll be time to move out of dorms and head back home for the summer, so make sure to spend all the time you can with your friends. Especially the seniors, who knows where we’re all going to be next year so take it all in together!

  6. Rest! It is so important to get the right amount of sleep! Make sure you prioritize not only your studying, but also making sure you let yourself rest.

  7. Set goals for each day! Everything can get a little overwhelming as classes come to a close so set goals and make checklists to keep you on task and motivated!

  8. Do something fun! Take the time to go on a hot girl walk with your friends through Forest Lawn, visit the cherry blossoms or other Buffalo spring activities!

  9. Use your resources! Lucky for you they’re all located in the small spot now in the new Golisano Student Success Center. Take advantage of the new space and the people there to support you!

  10.  Go to Griff Fest! One of the most anticipated events of the year, Griff Fest is a time for us all to celebrate everything we’ve accomplished this academic year! Have fun and be safe!

Remember to give yourself grace and to allow yourself to have fun! This is an exciting time as summer break looms closer and students prepare for their next steps. You can do this!
