“One thing about me that people say doesn’t make sense is that I hate public speaking. They’re like, ‘You sing, you act, you’re always on stage!’ But when I get into character, it’s like I can say whatever I want to, maybe even what I’m actually feeling, and no one ever really has to know that I’m really being very vulnerable. But in that way, it’s even less vulnerable. I don’t know. It’s confusing. All of those feelings are real sometimes and tapping into them can be exhausting. It’s a leap of faith for sure, but it can also have some really big paybacks.” - A.O.
