BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Golden Griffins' second half surge allowed them to pull out a 13-12 win against the Siena Saints on the road, giving them their first conference win in 2024.

Trailing 9-5, the Griffs used nine different goal scorers to defeat the conference foe. Senior captain Jackson Webster returned to the scoring sheet with three goals and an assist, accompanied by junior captain Patrick Mitchell who also notched four points of his own.

Lone goals from five different players in the second half helped the Griffs gain momentum and get them within one before Hunter Parucki tied the game and Webster’s third and final goal gave them the lead with less than a minute left in the game.

Junior goalie Tommy Kunz recorded 15 saves in the game, while MAAC Faceoff Player of the Week Micah Hanson won 14 of 29 faceoff attempts, tallied 10 ground balls, and even scored a goal of his own.

The Canisius men’s lacrosse team looks to create their first winning streak on the road, facing the Virginia Military Institute, this Saturday at 12pm.
