The Canisius Rowing team secured all three MAAC Boat of the Week awards after competing in the New York State Championships in Saratoga Springs, New York last Saturday.

The Griffs faced a competitive field that included Syracuse and NCAA Division III No. 1-ranked Bates College, but that didn’t stop the blue and gold from finding success.

The Varsity 8+ boat finished their race with a time of 7:35.56 to secure third place in their heat, qualifying them for the petite final, where they captured first place with a time of 7:15.40.

Both the 2V8 boats and the Varsity 4+ boats also secured third place in their respective races, qualifying them for the petite final for their respective heats. The Frosh 4+ also captured third place with a time of 8:47.87 in the grand finals.

The Griffs head to the Sacred Heart Invitational in Fairfield, Connecticut on Saturday, April 26 against Sacred Heart and Drake.
