A 74–year–old Delaware man has been charged with manslaughter after fatally shooting a woman, thinking she was a deer. 39–year–old Santos Maria Chilel Soto was walking through a field with her two kids when Walter Moorhead shot at her from a ground blind. His charges included manslaughter, reckless endangerment and using a firearm during the crime.

Four arrested in Orchard Park, N.Y. after selling counterfeit Buffalo Bills merch. According to WGRZ, the items consisted of 135 jerseys, 30 hats, 23 sweatshirts, 21 hats and four bags. Two were charged with a misdemeanor while the other two perpetrators were charged with a felony.

President Donald Trump meets with New York City Mayor Mamdani for the third time to discuss immigration and how to improve New York as a whole. Mamdani states that he will put his political differences aside in order to work with Trump to refine New York. He also explained how he disagreed with Trump's ban of media outlets from the White House, and stated that Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, is a war criminal and criticized his actions. 

Brown University takes action after the shooting that took place on Dec. 13, 2025. They installed 700 cameras, ID readers, cameras on their blue light phones and panic emergency buttons in classrooms. The university also replaced its security chief with a chief of police. Brown is actively improving its systems so that another incident similar to the shooting does not happen again. They advise that students report any kind of suspicious behavior and are also improving their threat assessment training.

A U.S. postal worker in Utah threw out 300 mail–in ballots into a dumpster after being stressed by the workload. He stated that he is not affiliated with a political agenda and stated that he made a bad decision and did it out of frustration.
