After missing the entire 2025 campaign due to an ACL tear last fall, midfielder Quinn Huber tallied two goals in his first game back from injury in men’s lacrosse’s 13–8 loss to Hobart on Saturday.

The redshirt sophomore set career highs in goals and shots against the Statesmen and was ready to return to the field. “It isn’t fun being hurt,” Huber stated bluntly. He elaborated that he was going to play 100%, give it his all and not hold back.

Joining Huber in the offensive effort was sophomore Peter Biglin, who recorded his first career hat trick to pace the Griffs’ scoring. Grad student TJ Buono added two goals and an assist against Hobart.

When asked about how he was looking to improve his craft now that he’s back on the field, he emphasized the importance of listening to Head Coach Mark Miyashita and his staff, stating that “whatever coach needs me to do, I’ll do it.”

Huber finished by stating that, although the team was disappointed by the loss, they would be quick to look past it in the long run and to “learn from our mistakes, take it, and move forward” with him citing the end goal of making sure they are playing at a high level, especially once conference play rolls around.

Canisius will play their next game at Mercyhurst on Tuesday before returning to Buffalo for a four-game homestand starting next Friday against Robert Morris.
