Emma Isroff’s junior season has been defined by consistency, production and a growing role as she has established herself as one of Canisius volleyball’s offensive leaders.

The junior right side hitter has started in all 15 matches for the Golden Griffins this season, and has played in all 54 sets, leading the team with 145 kills and a .272 hitting percentage.

Her performance throughout September recently earned Isroff another honor as she was named the Canisius Student–Athlete of the Month alongside men’s cross country junior Nathaniel Fisher.

The Hartville, Ohio native has been a steady presence for the Griffs throughout the season, recording double–digit kills in six matches. Her best performance came on Aug. 28 against Mercyhurst when she recorded a season–high 18 kills while hitting .562.

As Metro Conference play has progressed, Isroff has continued to make her presence felt. The six–foot hitter recorded 10 kills in Canisius’ 3–0 sweep of rival Niagara on Sept. 29, helping the Griffs earn their first Metro Conference victory of the season in the Battle of the Bridge.

Isroff followed that performance with a season–high 16 kills against Rider on Oct. 2. She added six digs and a career–high five service aces as Canisius battled back from a 2–0 deficit to force a fifth set before ultimately falling 15–12.

The junior continued her offensive stretch the following day against the Saint Peter’s Peacocks, recording 14 kills while hitting .400. The performance marked her third consecutive match with double–digit kills.

While Canisius has faced challenges throughout the season, Isroff’s consistency has provided the Griffs with a reliable option on the attack. Her recent successes have also translated to some of her teammates, who have also stepped up in creating a more balanced Canisius offense.

Redshirt junior Julia Lenik has remained another key offensive contributor while seniors Azoria Davis and Hannah Kos have each produced career–best performances in recent matches. Davis recorded a career–high 15 kills and a double–double against the Peacocks while Kos posted a career–high 13 kills against Rider.

That balance has helped Canisius remain competitive as the Griffs continue through conference action.

For Isroff, the recognition as September’s Student–Athlete of the Month adds another accomplishment to an already productive junior season. Off the court, she is an Animal Behaviour, Ecology and Conservation (ABEC) major and was named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Academic Honor Roll for the 2025–26 academic year.

On the court, she continues to be one of the Griffs’ most dependable offensive contributors.

With the Metro season officially on a roll, Isroff will look to build on her strong start and help Canisius continue to find its rhythm in conference play.

The Blue and Gold return to action Friday, Oct. 9, when they travel to Iona before facing Manhattan on Saturday, Oct. 10, for a New York City trip on the east side.
