For our series “Editors’ Picks,” we ask the staff each the same question and give you their unfiltered responses– interruptions included. Happy picking!

Lucas: Probably pumpkin pie, I don’t know.

Sara: Oooo, oooo, oooo, oooo, I think I have no idea. Can I get back to you? I think I'd be sweet potato casserole, which I don't really like that much, but I think that would be what I'd be.

Kaitlin: Something like green bean casserole because I think I'm an acquired taste.

Peter: Mac and cheese.

Kaitlin: That's not Thanksgiving food.

Peter: Mac and cheese is the best thanksgiving food. It’s anti-southern if you don't think it's Thanksgiving food.

Katie: Can I pick a dessert? Chocolate pie because I'm sweet.

Kaitlyn: Baked mac and cheese. Because it's my favorite and I think I give off a good mac and cheese vibe.

Colin: Mashed potatoes because it's the best.

Peter: He used ChatGPT for that, by the way. He had ChatGPT quiz him on what he would be.

Liz: That is like an entire bottle of water.

Colin: I will donate water to repent, I’d visit the well.

Hannah: I feel like I would be – I know this isn't a typical Thanksgiving food but we have it at my family's Thanksgiving – I would be roasted broccoli because we started making it specifically because I stopped eating meat.

Mikayla: I was going to go with mashed potatoes, but then Colin said it. I am going to say apple pie. You know what? I think, does anybody else's family do a roasted carrot? OH! Brown sugar glazed carrots.

Sophie: I was going to say cranberry sauce because I'm very worried about being liked. Some people don't like it but some people really like it.

Liz: This sounds crazy but, but my family does this thing where we do “butt cheek rolls”. You take a muffin tin, pre-made dough balls, you let them proof in the tin and then they look like butt cheeks.

Rivy: Mac and cheese.
