OJ Simpson died of prostate cancer on Wednesday, April 10 at the age of 76.

Professor John Kryder will be giving a speech on April 15 as part of the “Last Lecture Series,” where honors professors speak as though it were their final lecture. The Honors Student Association stated in their email about the event, “These lectures are often deeply personal, offering insights and wisdom drawn from a lifetime of experiences both in and outside of the classroom.” 


SPB announced the theme of GriffFest, “A Very Royal GriffFest,” taking place on May 3 from 1 to 5 p.m. 


April 12 will be the final meeting of the Undergraduate Student Association ever. The inaugural session of the United Student Association will be Apr. 19.


The New York Times wrote that Pentagon officials have arrived in Israel after concerns of an “attack” from Iran.


During the time of the solar eclipse, six inmates who sued over a lockdown were allowed to view the event. However, The New York Times stated, “the department stopped short of lifting a statewide prison lockdown during the eclipse.” 


The Environmental Protection Agency has mandated that “water providers reduce perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances, known collectively as PFAS, to near-zero levels,” calling them “forever chemicals” which are currently found in “nearly half the tap water in the country,” according to The New York Times.
