Canisius University recently announced that the campus will remain open for the solar eclipse on April 8, despite Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz’s advice to close businesses and stay off the roads. 


There was a MSA and RHA Ramadan Dinner at 7:30 in Regis on Mar. 21. 


The Office of Admissions is looking for a student speaker during Accepted Students Day. 


Canisius is looking for a summer RA position. Interested students can contact the Office of Student Life. 


The Griffin staff will be taking a collective nap during spring break. 


The New York Times reported that the “Ghost Army” in World War II will receive a gold medal. There were about 1,100 individuals in the army, and they had designated tactics meant to trick the German army. 


Little Theatre began their production of Mitch Albom’s “And The Winner Is” this past week, starting with a script reading with the cast & crew. The beginning of this production process marks Little Theatre’s last show of the school year. 


Canisius men’s basketball coach Witherspoon will not be returning for the 2024-25 season, in a “mutual decision to part ways.” Witherspoon had 108 wins during his eight years of working with the Golden Griffins.
